In May 2025, an order was issued to provide updated guidance on the status of individuals insured under the public health system. This clarification follows the implementation of GEO 128/2024, which removed the obligation to estimate income through the annual tax return for the year 2025.
The new order offers essential direction on who qualifies as insured and under what conditions – particularly for individuals with non-salary income such as dividends, rental income, and other similar sources. This move aims to streamline the process and ensure clearer eligibility criteria for public health coverage.
