Welcome to the next chapter of Risk & Insurance Navigator: where risk management leads, and insurance follows with purpose.

With the second annual edition of GrECo’s Risk & Insurance Navigator, we continue our commitment to helping organisations across Central, Eastern and South‑Eastern Europe navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape. Economic change, geopolitics, climate impacts, workforce pressures and rapid digitisation are converging, making effective risk management more critical than ever. In this environment, insurance remains essential, but it delivers lasting value only when it is guided by a clear, structured understanding of risk.

This conviction sits at the heart of GrECo Core, our risk‑based service approach. We developed GrECo Core to address a recurring challenge we see across markets: insurance decisions that are often made in isolation, without a consistent link to an organisation’s actual risk profile or strategic objectives. GrECo Core provides a structured framework that connects risk identification, assessment and prioritisation with insurance strategy, creating a common risk language and a consistent advisory approach across countries and lines of business. In doing so, it positions insurance as a purposeful, strategic tool within proactive risk management, rather than a reactive response to individual events.

This is where Risk & Insurance Navigator plays a central role. As our annual guide to risk management and insurance trends across 21 CESEE markets, it goes beyond pricing and capacity to explore the economic, regulatory and structural forces shaping risk. Through expert perspectives and comparative market insight, Risk & Insurance Navigator translates the principles of GrECo Core into real‑world context, supporting more informed and forward‑looking insurance decisions.

Over the coming months, we will publish a new series of interviews with GrECo experts across the region. Each interview focuses on one of four key risk changers – Social Disruption, Environment in Danger, Beyond Global and Digital Transition – together forming the foundation of the second edition of our Risk & Insurance Navigator report, to be published later this year.

Welcome to the next chapter of Risk & Insurance Navigator: where risk management leads, and insurance follows with purpose.
