The expansion of the Executive Board comes at a time of continued development for the GrECo Group.
GrECo Group, the leading independent risk consultant & insurance broker in CEE, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, is taking another step in its organisational development. Effective from 1 July 2026, the Group will establish a fourth Executive Board division named Expansion & Integration, setting a clear focus on strategic expansion, further development and group-wide integration.
Markus Neubrand brings M&A expertise and family tradition to the Executive Board
Leadership of the new division will be entrusted to Markus Neubrand, MSc, who will be appointed to the Executive Board of GrECo International Holding AG effective 1 July 2026. The Vienna-born 33-year-old has been with GrECo for more than eight years and took over leadership of the Mergers & Acquisitions division in January 2024. He studied International Business Management at the University of Surrey, where he graduated with distinction. He is also actively involved as Vice Chairman of the Board of Junge Industrie Wien (Young Industry Vienna). In his new role, he will purposefully guide the further development of the Group and drive forward key future topics with a focus on growth, collaboration and integration within the GrECo Group. As a member of the owner family, Markus Neubrand also stands for entrepreneurial continuity. His appointment means the third generation of the Neubrand family is now represented on the Executive Board.
“GrECo has always been characterised by entrepreneurial continuity, responsibility and a strong sense of togetherness. Carrying these values forward while actively helping to shape the Group’s next stages of development is a special responsibility and a great motivation for me,” says Markus Neubrand.
Growth trajectory and strategic expansion
The expansion of the Executive Board comes at a time of continued development for the GrECo Group. In recent years, the Group has recorded strong revenue growth. At the same time, the company has expanded its Mergers & Acquisitions to strengthen its regional presence, deepen specialist expertise and further secure its long-term competitiveness. Markus Neubrand, already head of the Mergers & Acquisitions division at GrECo, has been actively involved in this activity, including founding new companies in North Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as acquisitions in Greece and Cyprus. A particular milestone was the acquisition of MAI in 2022 – the largest acquisition in GrECo’s company history.
GrECo CEO Georg Winter also sees the expansion of the Executive Board as an important step for the Group’s future: “Growth needs clear structures, a shared sense of direction and the courage to actively shape the future. With the new division, we have created exactly this framework while at the same time strengthening integration within the Group.”
