New Fringe Benefits Launched in Hungary

It’s a great time for employers to update their benefits policies to take advantage of these new opportunities. 

Starting 1 January 2025, new fringe benefits are available in Hungary including: 

  • New housing allowance benefit : Hungarian employers can now offer employees under the age of 35 a housing allowance of up to HUF 150,000 (approximately EUR 365) per month or HUF 1.8 million (approximately EUR 4,400) annually. Employees can use this allowance to cover rent or assist with housing loan repayments.  
  • Tax-free sporting events tickets and cultural services: Additionally, employers can now provide tickets to sporting events or cultural services on a tax-free basis.
