Reflections from RIMS

For all the talk about market change and technology, international business still comes down to people.

Representing GrECo Group at the RIMS Conference in Philadelphia, Georg Winter, Ante Banovac, Natalia Morris, and Roland Litzinger joined industry leaders from around the world to discuss the latest developments shaping the insurance sector. Following the conference, Natalia Morris, GrECo Group Head of International, shares her reflections on the changing global insurance broking market and what these developments mean for clients, partners and international cooperation.

Attending RIMS offered a valuable opportunity to take stock of the international insurance broking market. What stood out to me most was how quickly the market continues to evolve. Consolidation, succession planning, ownership changes and strategic expansion are reshaping the industry worldwide, creating new opportunities but also new questions for clients and partners.

At the same time, one message was very clear: successful international business still depends on trusted relationships, regional expertise and specialist know-how. For companies operating across several countries, broad market access alone is not enough. They need reliable local insight, transparent coordination and one clear contact point who can connect the right expertise across markets.

This is where I see real value for clients and partners. Different regulatory environments, rising service expectations and increasingly complex risks mean that international insurance programmes need to be managed with both local understanding and cross-border consistency.

The ability to bring these elements together is becoming more important than ever.

For GrECo, the discussions at RIMS reinforced the importance of combining our strong regional presence with effective international cooperation. With our focus on Central and Eastern Europe and neighbouring markets, we are well positioned to support clients and partners looking for coordinated regional solutions, specialist expertise and reliable service across multiple countries.

For all the talk about market change and technology, international business still comes down to people.
