For many years we have been refraining from giving Christmas presents to our clients and partners and instead are supporting projects within our GrECo Foundation.
The GrECo Foundation supports socially disadvantaged children and young people in various learning projects, such as supplying study materials, afternoon care, workshops and excursions in 21 countries.

GrECo Foundation Walking Initiative for Caritas Prework
This year, our employees walked, ran, and biked an incredible 36,828 kilometers—demonstrating our shared commitment to health and social responsibility. The GrECo Foundation is donating EUR 10,000 to the Caritas PreWork project, supporting young people in building a brighter professional future. Thank you to everyone who contributed—together, we make a difference!
GrECo Supports Hilfswerk International: Help for Children in Ukraine
As part of a three-year partnership, GrECo supports Hilfswerk International in providing protection, care, and new prospects for children and families in war-affected regions of Ukraine. Through “Help Points,” we help create safe spaces for children to play, learn, and simply be children. We are proud to be part of this important mission.
GrECo Hungary: Pedals and Paddles for Purpose
Our Hungarian colleagues and their families cycled and kayaked a total of 2,454 kilometers at Lake Tisza, raising EUR 2,454 for the Hungarian Children’s Rescue Foundation. Every kilometer counted, turning movement into meaningful support for children in need. Well done, GrECo Hungary, for your energy and generosity!
Renovation for Verein Contrast
Together with Zurich Österreich, we renovated the rooms of Verein Contrast, creating a welcoming and safe environment for visually impaired children. Thanks to everyone’s hands-on support, we brought color, structure, and a sense of belonging to this important space. Your commitment truly makes a difference!
Ride for a Cause – Supporting Foundation IKA 23
As part of our 100-year anniversary, colleagues cycled 624 km from Novi Sad to Vienna to support Foundation IKA 23, which empowers children and young people through education and creativity. GrECo sponsored the initiative and invites everyone to join in supporting this meaningful cause. Together, we ride for Ika!
Franz Hilf!
Franz Hilf – Franciscans for People in Need is an internationally active Franciscan aid organisation based in Vienna. This year we supported their charity concert for a mother and child home in Romania.
GrECo Supports “friedensflotte mirno more”
We are proud to support “friedensflotte mirno more,” the world’s largest social sailing project for disadvantaged youth. Every year, young people from over 30 nations sail together in the spirit of inclusion and solidarity. Special thanks to our colleague Manfred Siegl for his hands-on commitment as skipper—showing how personal engagement creates real change.
GrECo Lithuania Step Up for Young Talents
In Lithuania, 79 GrECo team members covered over 62 million steps, raising EUR 5,000 for the Vilnius Archdiocese Caritas “Support from a Distance” project. This annual tradition encourages an active lifestyle and community spirit, showing the power of unity and teamwork. Congratulations to all involved!
