As part of ongoing updates in employee benefits, the Czech Republic has introduced new tax-exemption limits for meal vouchers and health-related benefits.

Tax-exemption limits for meal vouchers

The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has increased the meal allowance amounts for business trips. Consequently, the exemption limit for meal vouchers and meal vouchers lump sum has also changed. The new upper limit is CZK 177, with the exemption limit set at 70% of this amount, resulting in a new exemption limit of CZK 123.902.

New limit for health-related benefits

Health-related benefits now have a separate limit equivalent to the average wage, set at CZK 46,557 for 2025. Other benefits retain the previous limit of half the average wage, thus CZK 23,278.503.

These updates are designed to provide better support for employees’ health and well-being. For more detailed information, please contact our experts.
